Undergoing training at DBS

I know haven't been diligently updating this blog, but then I've really been too busy. Too busy to even answer calls and reply SMS-es until evening time! I've just started my Management Associate Programme training in DBS. We started on last Friday, and from Monday to Wednesday we went to Outward Bound Singapore (OBS) for leadership and teambuilding training. And the three days of OBS were really... erm... Let's just say that I'm glad to be still alive and kicking. And today I'm back to lessons! Our lessons start from 9am and end at 5pm everyday, but then because of all the administrative work and meet the management sessions etc, we end up reaching at about 8:45am and leaving at 7pm. That's not including some of the days when we have dinner and drink sessions with others. That's still not the end. We still have homework to do, and we have FOUR projects to do within this 2 months of training... Bleah...

Super Unlucky

Unbelievably unlucky today. We went to East Coast Park for BBQ today, to celebrate our anniversary since Gladys won't be around on the actual day. We forgot to bring along the aluminium net and paid almost $5 for one at 7-11 whereas the one we got at Sheng Shiong only cost us $1 something. Then, as a lot of people used to do and we used to do, we set up fire in an aluminium tray. For some reason, this time, the NEA people came over and stopped us, booked me for starting an open fire without a permit. They told me I'll receive a letter within two weeks which would tell me how much fine I'll have to pay.

Since we're there already, so we decided to book a BBQ pit to continue our BBQ, although it meant extra costs again. I walked to the AXS Station to make a booking, but somehow it couldn't read my ATM cards (both DBS and Standard Chartered ones). I walked around the area to find another one, and couldn't. Then I found out that that was the only AXS station in the whole of East Coast Park. Just as I was going to give up and just go home, we tried with Gladys' ATM card and somehow it worked. So it was just my cards (I'm the unlucky one).

During the BBQ, I wasn't feeling particularly well, as I hadn't been feeling well the whole day. I guess I didn't have enough rest for the past few days already. And just as we were leaving East Coast Park, I had a bad diarrhoea attack. Sigh... Just plain unlucky day for me...
