1st Time Cooking Soft Shell Crab...

Basically today, we decided to haf a nice meal, but din wanna go out and spend lotsa $, so decided to buy and cook some nice stuff at David's house instead. The soft shell crab cost $7.90 for 3. Really cheap! If u eat them outside, for tt price, can only get 1 crab and it'll b much smaller.

1st time cooking soft shell crab... Altho it looks a little burnt, it doesn't taste burnt. In fact, it's pretty gd (thank goodness)! =)

Frying the crabs...

Just dished out the prawns...

A little burnt but still v nice! Next time will definitely b better... =P

NYDC Treat From Aaron Tan

On a much lighter note, my lecturer, Aaron Tan, treated the 7 tutors under him to NYDC dinner today. It was a very nice dinner. I'm quite glad that I'm tutoring under him. He's one of the nicest lecturers around. I'm sure if there's any School of Computing student who has taken any modules under him reading this post, he/she will agree with me. He's also quite the family guy. He stepped down from his post of Assistant Dean so that he can spend more time with his family, and when asked about his plans for December holidays, he said he'll spend time with his kids, and that he owed them. Too bad I can't do tutoring anymore, or I definitely won't mind tutoring under him again.

So tired...

I'm so tired... Sometimes I don't even know what's keeping me going on... I guess what's keeping me going on is my faith in our future and God. Thinking about my dear, our future, my family, and God. But I also have no idea how long I can go on like that. If one day my faith in any of these falter, would I stumble? I've been drawing strength from God, and the love me and my dear have for each other. I hope this strength will never end.

LSCN - Cleared!

Yeah~~~ After 2 days of super stress and hardwork, my whole team (me, Phyllis & Huiling) passed our LSCN course! In case u're wondering wot LSCN is, it's Life Support Course for Nurses, which is a bridging between Basic Life Support Course (the one tt deals wif CPR etc) and Advanced Life Support Course. Kudos to my team! U guys r great!

Now time for us to burn 2 Saturdays making up for our clinical posting... Bleahzz.

Bitching Abt Nursing...

Oh wow... Talk abt being overworked and underpaid... Exams just ended on 2 Nov and tmr is my first day of attachment at AMK Hospital! *plays sad song* "Yesterday... All my troubles seem so far away..."

GIMME MY HOLIDAYS MAN!!! Nursing is the only course in poly tt only has 4 weeks (instead of 2-3 mths) break per sem. No wonder nurses r overworked and underpaid. Just gotta follow the trend tt started since their student days... ARGH!!

Hey, dun blame me for telling pple not to join nursing. Nobel as our career is, the pay and working hours r shit. Love the work, hate the pay and hours.

Giant Coke Bottle

Hi! My first post! *welcomes myself*

Just to add on, our plan is to fill it up with tiny little stars tt we fold our of magazine paper (handcut into 1cm strips by me!) and use it as a deco for our house after we're married. My estimate is tt we'll need AT LEAST 10,000 stars. Wonder how long we'll take tho. Hopefully less den a yr! =P

Will post the pics once we're done. Hehe.
Gladys bought a big, big Coke bottle for me, knowing that I like Coke stuff. So sweet right? Haha. It's a big plastic bottle. How big? Well... Just look at the pictures.

That's a 1.5 L Pepsi bottle beside it.

Both of us hugging the bottle

My cute little cousin holding the bottle. Almost as big as her!
OK. Changed my blog to a combined one with my dear. So I also changed the URL to http://davnglad.blogspot.com and added my dear so that she can post as well.

Frustrations of working in a group

It's just so frustrating to work in a group when there are unproductive members. Yeah. It's great when you have partners you can trust (which I do have), but there are some people who are just so... ARGH!!! They produce work which are not quite usable, and you end up doing more work editing their work.
