Side effects of Ranitidine

I'm feeling so sick after taking Ranitidine, the medication for my GERD. Having nights of insomnia. Even after I fall asleep, I'll wake up a few times in the middle of the night. And I'm starting to lose my appetite, due to the feeling of nausea. It's helping my GERD, but the side effects are not good either...
